Natalie Choate, Nutter McClennen & Fish

Natalie Choate

Natalie Choate is an attorney with the Boston firm of Nutter McClennen & Fish. A Boston native, Miss Choate is a graduate of Radcliffe College and Harvard Law School. Her practice is limited to consultations on estate planning for retirement benefits. Her two books, "Life and Death Planning for Retirement Benefits" and "The QPRT Manual", are leading resources for estate planning professionals.

Her articles on estate planning topics have been published in ACTEC Notes, Estate Planning, Trusts and Estates, Tax Practitioners Journal and Tax Management. Miss Choate has lectured in 49 states, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia, and has spoken at the Heckerling, Notre Dame, and Southern Federal Tax Institutes, among others. Her comments on estate and retirement planning have been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Money, The New York Times, Newsweek, Forbes, Financial Planning and Financial World. 



Dan Skiles, Shareholders Service Group

As President of Shareholders Service Group, Dan Skiles is involved in all aspects of managing the firm. Specific areas of focus include technology, finance, business operations and strategy. Prior to joining SSG in 2009, Mr. Skiles was with The Charles Schwab Corporation where he had responsibilities with the planning and development of technology solutions for Schwab Institutional and leading Schwab Performance Technologies, Inc., ™ a subsidiary of The Charles Schwab Corporation. Before joining Schwab in 2001, Mr. Skiles spent eight years with TD Waterhouse and was responsible for implementing technology solutions for the firm’s investment advisor clients. Mr. Skiles is a leading industry expert who is often quoted in advisor trade publications and he writes a monthly article for Investment Advisor magazine. Investment Advisor magazine also recognized Mr. Skiles in 2014 as one of the 25 most influential people in and around the advisor industry. Mr. Skiles earned a bachelor's degree and a master’s in business from San Diego State University. He also currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Financial Planning Association.



Rick FerriPortfolio Solutions 

Rick Ferri Richard (Rick) Ferri is the founder and managing partner of Portfolio Solutions® and a registered investment advisor managing over $1.4 billion in client assets. He is responsible for research and education and directs the firm’s investments. Rick has over 25 years of experience in the industry, including 10 years as a financial consultant at two major Wall Street firms. He graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a B.S. degree in business and from Walsh College with an M.S. degree in finance; he also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter. Rick has published extensively, including several books on index funds, ETFs, and asset allocation. He writes regularly for the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, the Journal of Financial Planning, and his own blog at www.RickFerri.com. Prior to entering the financial industry in 1988, Rick was an officer in the Marine Corps, where he flew fighter aircraft. He retired from the USMC Reserve.


Bert Whitehead, Cambridge Connection

Bert Whitehead is the founder and CEO of Cambridge Connection and founder of ACP. He is admitted to practice in the United States Tax Court, Federal District Court, and Michigan Courts. Bert is a member of NAPFA (National Association of Personal Financial Advisors), FPA (Financial Planning Association), and NATP (National Association of Tax Practitioners), as well as a member of the State Bar of Michigan. Recognized as leading authority on financial planning, Bert is a regular speaker at industry conferences and is often quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Investment News, and many others. He has written "Why Smart People Do Stupid Things with Money: Overcoming Financial Dysfunction" and developed "Deduct It! Deduct It! Charitable Donation Tracker."
